1. Introduction

Hope Software Group LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates ShareHow, a mobile application that converts real-world video walkthroughs into step-by-step training libraries. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use the Service.

By using ShareHow, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Users

When you create an account and use ShareHow, we may collect:

  • Account information: Name, email address, and password (encrypted)
  • Profile information: Any additional details you choose to provide
  • User Content: Videos, titles, descriptions, and other content you upload
  • Usage data: Features used, content created, interaction patterns within the App
  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, app version, unique device identifiers
  • Analytics data: Behavioral data collected through Mixpanel (see Section 4)

2.2 Anonymous Viewers (QR Code Access)

When someone accesses shared content via a QR code or shared link without an account, we may collect:

  • Device information: Device type, operating system, browser type
  • Analytics data: Standard Mixpanel event data (e.g., page views, time on content)

No personally identifiable information is required from or knowingly collected from anonymous viewers.

2.3 Payment Information

We do not directly collect or store payment card information. Payment and billing data is handled by third-party processors. See Section 4 for details.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide the Service: Create and manage your account, host your content, generate QR codes, and deliver training libraries to viewers
  • Process payments: Manage subscriptions and billing through our payment partners
  • Improve the Service: Analyze usage patterns to fix bugs, improve features, and enhance user experience
  • Communicate with you: Send account-related notifications, product updates, and support responses
  • Ensure security: Detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access
  • Comply with legal obligations: Respond to lawful requests from authorities where required

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We work with the following third-party services that may receive or process your data:

Mixpanel (Analytics)

RevenueCat (Subscription Management)

We use RevenueCat to manage subscription state and entitlements. RevenueCat receives limited account and subscription data necessary to validate and manage your plan. Learn more at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Stripe (Web Payments)

For subscriptions purchased on the web, payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe collects and handles all payment card data directly. We do not store your card details. Learn more at stripe.com/privacy.

Apple (iOS In-App Purchases)

iOS subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store. Apple's privacy policy governs data related to those transactions. Learn more at apple.com/legal/privacy.

Google (Android In-App Purchases)

Android subscriptions are processed through Google Play. Google's privacy policy governs data related to those transactions. Learn more at policies.google.com/privacy.

We require all third-party service providers to handle your data in compliance with applicable privacy laws.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The ShareHow app and web platform may use cookies, local storage, and similar tracking technologies to maintain session state, remember preferences, and support analytics. You may adjust cookie settings through your browser or device settings, though doing so may affect functionality.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data and User Content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law or legitimate business purposes (such as resolving disputes or complying with legal obligations).

Anonymous viewer data is retained in aggregated or anonymized form for analytics purposes.

7. Data Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's Privacy

ShareHow is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Opting Out of Analytics

To opt out of Mixpanel analytics tracking, you may use Mixpanel's opt-out mechanism or contact us directly and we will assist you.

10. California Residents (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have specific rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information is collected, the right to delete personal information, and the right to non-discrimination for exercising your rights.

We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.

11. International Users

ShareHow is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to this transfer.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you via email or within the App. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy reflects the most recent revision. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
